We made some changes in CentOS Linux 8.3.2011 to make the transition from CentOS Linux to CentOS Stream easier. This means we need to change the names of certain files in /etc/yum.repos.d and update the repoid to match.

If you have made local customizations to files in /etc, including .repo files, you will need to compare them with any .rpmnew files created for you.

You may also want to update all scripts with reprioritization using the --enablerepo= or --disablerepo= flags.

- If you intend to install CentOS 8 on a VirtualBox client, do not select "Server with a GUI" during the installation process (default). Refer to the installation process of CentOS 7 in VirtualBox.

- Support for certain adapters has been removed in CentOS 8.

- Automatic addition of AppStream-Repo during installation using boot.iso and NFS will fail. You must disable it and manually add the correct NFS path.

- Installation of VirtualBox Guest Additions will produce an error if your version is 6.0.12/5.2.32 or lower. This issue has been resolved in versions 6.0.14 and 5.2.34.

- PackageKit is unable to resolve local DNF/YUM variables. If you use these variables, PackageKit will not work.

- Installing CentOS 8 in VirtualBox 5.2.32 will cause graphic installation screen issues near the end of the installation process. This issue may also occur in other versions of VirtualBox.
